Arizona Center for Disability Law Celebrates 10 Years of Expanding Rights and Opportunities

  

                                                                                                           

What:             Arizona Center for Disability Law 10^th Anniversary Celebration.  This event will celebrate the founding of Arizona’s only non-profit public interest law firm dedicated to protecting and advocating for children and adults with disabilities.

                                                                                   

Where:          Perkins, Coie, Brown and Bain, 2901 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

When:            Thursday, October 20, 2005                                            

                        5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

 

Why:              “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating our accomplishments in protecting rights and expanding opportunities.  Since 1995, the Arizona Center for Disability Law has led or been involved in virtually every landmark lawsuit on behalf of people with disabilities in Arizona,” said Leslie Cohen, Executive Director.  “This 10-year milestone is an opportune time to reinforce the purpose and potential of the work of the Center.  The Center has worked each day to address issues of vital importance to the disability community. The Center’s mission is to ensure people with disabilities have health care, education, housing, and employment opportunity as well as protecting disabled individuals from abuse and neglect.”
