STAY INFORMED. On December 3, 2004, President George W. Bush signed Public Law No: 108-446 Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 into law. The newly reauthorized Act contains many far reaching changes to your child's rights that you need to know about. Most of the provisions of IDEA 2004 go into effect on July 1, 2005. The National Association of Protection and Advocacy Systems (NAPAS) has written a summary of IDEA 2004 which you can download by clicking on the link below.
